Book Fairs and Book Tables at School Events
Whether a simple Book Table or a full fledged Book Fair, both are excellent ways for your school to raise funds for it's library. This is how it works:
Book Tables
Whether it be your school's summer festival or winter holiday fair, a Storytime Book Table adds the finishing touch to any school function. Parents and children are pleased to be able obtain high quality English language children's books right at the event. The school wins because 10% of the day's sales are donated back to the school in the form of a store credit. Interested? Just give us a call or send us an email!
Book Fairs
- Your school and Storytime Books determine the date(s) of the Book Fair.
- Parents are informed, through school channels, that a Book Fair featuring a great selection of reasonably priced English books is to be held on the selected dates.
- The parents are also informed that 10% of the sales benefit the school's library.
- On the day(s) of the Book Fair, Storytime comes into the school and sets-up an entire classroom full of books, covering a wide range, both in terms of content and price.
- Throughout the school day(s), individual classes come into the book fair room. The children are permitted to look at the books and write down their requests on a form provided.
- At pick-up times, the parents are invited to come in and purchase some, all, or none of the books their child has indicated on the form.
- We keep a running total of the amount sold.
- 10% of the Book Fair sales is returned to the school in the form of a store credit
